dry stone walls and blankets

This is one of my favourite places to sit and sketch - sheltered by the stone wall and looking down Loch Maree. Over the months I became fascinated by the myriad of colours  found in the natural stone.

 

So I began a stash of these crocheted granny squares using my own hand dyed merino wool. And now the basket is overflowing

So it's time  for some  stone wall construction of my own. It's an ongoing project but I couldn't resist a sneak preview of my latest blanket in progress !
