February days
We often have days in February when the light is so clear you feel yourself physically emerging from the winter. The last two days have been just like that - wonderful.
Yesterday we enjoyed walking out from Badralloch towards Scorraig On the way we stopped to gaze down onto the beach at Gruinnard.
Today we were tempted to go walking again but Spring fever overtook us and we began to repaint our cottage - "Azure Sky" - so even if the winter returns for a little while we will be surrounded with a sense of summer skies !

dry stone walls and blankets
This is one of my favourite places to sit and sketch - sheltered by the stone wall and looking down Loch Maree. Over the months I became fascinated by the myriad of colours found in the natural stone.
So it's time for some stone wall construction of my own. It's an ongoing project but I couldn't resist a sneak preview of my latest blanket in progress !
